The Fish

This is a BIG FISH water.

The lake has been stocked with various strains of carp. Due to the stringent stock density controls the majority of the fish caught in the last twelve months are in excess of thirty pounds. Our best estimate of the current stocking levels is approx 120 - 150 fish. Most of the fish are over 30lbs with a good head of 50’s and another mirror over 60lb and the lake record common caught at 78lb ( Currently thought to be the second largest common in the world).

We are an established French fishery and as such the fish are no longer naive, however good catches are still available to those prepared to put in the effort. This is a BIG FISH water, good angling will produce the results and a fish of a lifetime awaits those prepared fish for them. The 'get drunk, party, chuck it and chance it brigade will be disappointed. This lake is for the serious carper who wants to fish for quality carp in quality surroundings.

 

The Facilities

We are able to offer, on site English fishery manager,  secure on site parking, legal night fishing, English W.C and shower facilities, mains running water, complete with rural lodge, fully inclusive meal packages and an extensive supply of fishing baits. All the swims can be reached by car, parking being permitted in the main car park.

We provide weigh posts and unhooking mats in the swims. Most of the swims are flat and require only a few small steps to the water’s edge making bivvying up and landing fish simple.

We are able to provide a well equipped timber chalet, sleeping up to four people (one double bed and a double fold out settee bed) and boasts a private shower, toilet and kitchen. All you need to provide is bedding (quilt cover, pillow cases etc) and towels. Reserving the chalet provides first choice to fish peg 10 (directly outside the chalet).

Booking Terms

Price

The price is that shown on the booking form and is guaranteed from the date we receive your completed booking form and deposit.

Reservation

Your trip will be reserved when we receive your completed booking form and deposit.

Deposit

A deposit of 50% is payable when returning the Booking form to: PO box 6177, Mansfield, Notts, NG18 3GW. Cheques should be made payable to Etang La Saussaie. The deposit is non refundable.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any loss, delay or cancellations due to the following: fire, storm, flood, closure of ports, weather conditions, acts of God, riots, or any other event or circumstance beyond our control.

Balance of Payment

The balance of the trip must be paid no later than 12 weeks before departure. Bookings made within this period must be paid for in full. Failure to pay on time will result in the loss of your weeks fishing.

Insurance

It is the customer's responsibility to provide adequate personal insurance, since this is not within the scope of our insurance.

The Law

The signature on the Booking Form constitutes a contract between you and ACI Ltd and is accepted by both parties to be subject to English Law political unrest, industrial disputes, war or any other event or circumstance beyond our control.

Liability

Under no circumstance shall our liability to you exceed the amount paid to us for your trip.

Fishery Rules

All persons agree to abide by the Fishery Rules.

Termination

We reserve the right to withdraw services if it is considered a person or person's behaviour is detrimental to the well being of our other patrons, employees, stock or property.

In the unlikely event of a complaint, please direct this in the first instance to our on-site representative and all complaints should be confirmed in writing.
